Are web sites effective for college elections?

Can a "write-in" candidate engage in active campaigning for an SG position?

Our student government leaders have to submit an application before running. We have a student that missed the application process by three weeks. Elections are on March 27th-- our constitution says they have to submit a petition by the Wednesday before the election. She asked to be a write-in because she could not meet the requirement of filling out the application (due to the process being over). I am in a difficult position because we said we would allow this. Now she is campaigning before the other student who is on the ballot. I personally would like to put a stop to it-- not sure if we should/can do anything. Do you have any more thoughts? Would it be wrong to tell her to stop?
Can a senior run for office if they will graduate before they complete the term of office?

Can seniors run for president if the term starts in the spring, which means they will graduate before they complete their term of office?

Can students run for more than one position at a time?

Our By-laws state that an individual can only run for one SGA office. We have had requests from students and I have been told that some colleges and universities allow students to run for as many as two offices. Can you give me insight about how that sort of process works. Suppose one individual is wins the vote for both offices they run for, does the office they decline go to the runner-up or is there a new election for all those who ran for the office declined? Any other insights as to the benefits and downsides to allowing this sort of practice.

Does ASGA maintain a list of SG Debate Questions? I am hosting a debate for our President/Vice President candidates and would like some question ideas.
Eligibility for election candidates (1 of 6 answers)

This might be a long one. I am currently running for SGA president and do not know how to handle this situation. In order to be eligible to run for SGA president you must meet the required GPA level and have served in the senate for a minimum of 15 weeks.

One ticket has been deemed invalid because they have not served on senate and because of their GPA. Here lies the problem, My ticket is valid and meets all the requirements. There is a 3rd ticket that I know and a lot of people know that do not meet the 15 week requirement. So far no one has said anything. The elections commision is going by the idea you must have served 15 weeks by the time you are elected, but our constitution clearly states that you must have served 15 weeks to be a candidate.

My question is should we call the candidates on this and if so how do we go about not looking like we are petty and just doing what is good for us. We know we are right and the way I see it, if they are going to say one is not eligible than why let the other candidate run when they don't meet the requirements?
